Truly Hand-crafted - have your say!

Handmade Crafts wants you! Or your ideas..!

Thats right! Following the great response to our previous post about regular craft giveaways, we thought we'd ask you a more general question.

How can Handmade Crafts help you to advertise your crafts?

We've got a lot of great ideas for the future of Handmade Crafts - and will soon be inviting a very select few of you to preview some new features (including an exciting new twist on our craft links directory), but at this point we felt we should check what you think would help too.

After all, you're the crafters! Please leave us a comment below with your suggestions and we will do our best to take them on board as we develop Handmade Crafts further.

Craft Giveaway - almost here!

After several very kind offers, we will be making arrangements (and contacting some of the crafters who have volunteered prizes), so we can start our first raffle. It's likely to run at the end of this month or early June, so keep checking back (or follow us on twitter - @ukcrafts).

Stalls from £25. This new boutique market will be held every 2 weeks on a Wednesday (normal market day in St. Albans, drawing crowds from miles around). We are also organising a huge 2-day ARTisan Fair on Sat 26 & Sun 27 June, as part of the successful St. Albans Festival Week (Stalls from £45). Handmade things are always more meaningful than soulless mass produced items, for instance a presents is so much more enjoyable in both the giving and the receiving if a little thought and handiwork has gone into it.

Re advertising craft events, could you have an events page where people can post their event and details. It'll probably get spammed to hell if there is no moderation on it though.

Or how about giving the event a Twitter or Facebook mention.
