May 2013 Giveaway - Laura from First Treasures

22/05/2013 - Rosa Chatterley

Looking for a special present for Fathers Day? How about a handmade 3D sculpture of dad holding baby's hand? First Treasures can make it for you!

First Treasures castings Hello everyone! We have been very busy here as you may have noticed from our latest newsletter. Classified ads are now live here so make sure you pop in and have a little browse to see what's on offer from some of our lovely followers :)

And that's basically why this month's giveaway is slightly later than we normally like to do it. But don't worry, your wait is going to be rewarded with a fantastic and truly special prize! And remember that if you would like to sponsor one of our giveaways, you just need to get in touch with us! ;)

This month's sponsor is the lovely Laura from First Treasures and she is offering to our lucky winner a very generous £25 voucher that they can spend on having some 3D castings of their loved ones that they will treasure forever.

The rules remain the same: to enter, visit our sponsor's link(s) (at the end of the post) and post a comment here, telling us which of their makes you like the most. Entries are accepted at our discretion and the winner will be chosen at random. The giveaway will close at midnight (GMT) on Wednesday 29th May 2013.

Let's Laura tell you all about her and this month's prize!

First Treasures castings My name is Laura and I am the owner of First Treasures Baby Casting. I am married with one little boy and live in Woodham Ferrers, Essex.

I'd noticed these keepsakes when my son was born in 2010 and always loved them, so when I chose not to return to work as a Marketing Manager at the end of my maternity leave I trained in casting to enable me to work from home. I created First Treasures in January 2013 having been working for another company previously for 2 years.

First Treasures castings I love my job as I enjoy being creative and meeting new mums and babies on a daily basis - I most of all love seeing the reaction on people's faces when they see my finished products.

Here at First Treasures we create beautifully handcrafted framed and freestanding 3D sculptures and outprint tiles of your baby, toddler or child's hands and feet. Prices start at £25, each cast captures every last detail of your little one's hands and feet. My giveaway is a £25 casting voucher that you can use for yourself or give to a loved one as a perfect Christening, Mother's day, Birthday, baby arrival or Christmas present.

If you would like to keep up to date with our monthly special offers and product photos 'like' our Facebook page and visit our website for more details.

It was hard to choose but I absolutely adore the three hands clasping. It's a gold one. I'd post the link but I can't work out how to on my phone.

I love the way the two adult hands are almost protecting the babies hand. It's beautiful to look at and also very symbolic of the love between parents and their child.

Wish I had found this sooner!

I just found your site and I LOVE the crafts you have.

I write about a lot of different crafting styles in my articles at Squidoo and in various blogs, and I'll be sure to mention this site.

I just visited First Treasures and I'd love to surprise my wife with such a special and unique gift. However our son is now grown so I'd have to make something work with castings we still have from when he was a baby, if it's even possible.

Anyway, love the site... bookmarked!
