March 2011 Crafts Giveaway - Kims Colourway

Custom crocheted items for all occasions. Your style. Your colourway.

Kims Colourway

Welcome back to our blog - and the March Crafts Giveaway! We're running the giveaway a little bit early this month as Matt is (hopefully) moving house next week and we wanted to minimise any interruptions. So this months giveaway will close at midnight on Monday 21st March 2011. To enter, you must visit Kim's site and leave a comment on this blog before then. Entries are accepted at our discretion and the winner will be chosen at random.

With the serious bit out of the way, we also wanted to say thanks to those of you who have submitted craft events to the site - it's off to a good start, but we do need the support of organisers to make it really work.

Getting back to the plot, this month's giveaway is kindly sponsored by Kim from Kim's Colourway - and here she is!

Lets hand you over to Kim for the fun part!

Easter Birds by Kims Colourway Originally from South Africa, I have always been creative, whether it be painting, drawing or anything crafty. My grandmother, mother and I have done so many different crafts over the years which included crocheting snowflakes when I was about 13 years old. I forgot how to crochet so I watched a lot of tutorials on YouTube while I was pregnant with my second child in 2008. Since then I have not been able to stop and a hobby blossomed into a business!

I now make a wide variety of items such as hats, scarves, ponchos, cardigans, tops, blankets, bags, as well as seasonal items for Easter and Christmas. Most of my items are custom made and to order which means the customer gets exactly what they want instead of buying mass produced items that everyone has. I love getting requests to make something new as it's very challenging. I really enjoy making the items for my customers and I love to see them being used and to know I have made someone happy. I also try my best to crochet items for charity when I have the time.

Beautiful Crocheted Bunny by Kims Colourway For the giveaway, I have crocheted a little Easter bunny who is looking for a new home. He is only little at 15cm tall so whoever wins him, please look after him and please don't give him to small children for safety reasons. I have a lot of other great Easter items so come have a look on my Facebook page for the most up to date pictures and news.

I love the creme egg cosies! I have 3 yellow chick egg cosies that were given to my children about 24 years ago (with creme eggs in) and they still sit in my egg basket!
