January Giveaway - iMake

January 2011 Crafts Giveaway: iMake iMake

Phew, better late than never! We've been very busy here and have had a few hiccups this month, the net result being that we're a day late posting this months Give-away. We'd be much later if it wasn't for our fabulous sponsor, Martine from iMake, who has stepped in at the last minute to help us out!

The usual rules apply - you must leave a comment (about iMake or Martine's podcast) below, before midnight on Monday 31st January 2011. Entries are accepted at our discretion and the winner will be selected randomly.

So, with massive thanks from us here at handmade-crafts.co.uk, I give you: Martine from iMake!

About iMake

iMake Flower Bracelet iMake is the home of handmade in Guernsey, Channel Islands. Through the iMake website, http://www.imake.gg, founder Martine Ellis shares her love of all things handmade through blog posts, creative ideas, links, reviews, free tutorials and the iMake podcast (which is also available through iTunes).

Martine explains "I initially started iMake as a vehicle to offer creative workshops to the people of Guernsey. But I quickly realised that I wanted to reach a wider audience. So I started blogging and podcasting and offering free craft tutorials on my website. Ultimately my aim is to link in to the growing network of creative communities out there through a variety of creative collaborations and projects. I also have plans to publish some crafty Ebooks and video tutorials".

iMake Heart Bracelet The iMake website also contains information about Martine's local Stitch n' Bitch group and the creative learning opportunities iMake offers.

What can I win?

Martine is offering you the chance to win a one-of-a-kind handmade iMake bracelet, made to fit your wrist exactly. The bracelet features a pure silver button on a cotton thread bracelet, finished with a sterling silver clasp. The button is made from precious metal clay with a hammered finish. You can choose whether you want a heart or flower button and you can also choose whether you have black or brown thread.

Isn't it wonderful to release your inner creativity. I started crafting many years ago and also plan to branch out and share my skills to others and inspire them to have fun and find their own inner creativity. There is so much to be had from designing and making a piece of work and when others admire it to say yes 'I made that'. Lovely work you make, and great that you share your knowledge so others like myself can learn from it. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful, natural pieces. So simple to look at and watch made, and yet so complex in their appeal.
I love the use of local finds - reminds me of shell picking in Sark when I was a child.
The simplest of things are often the ones that mean the most.
