February 2013 Giveaway - Steph at SixSkeins

21/02/2013 - Rosa Chatterley

More snow on the way?! - Make sure you wrap up warm using some of SixSkeins lovely yarn! Button cowl chunky knit scarf

Hello everyone and welcome to our February giveaway - which is being posted a little late (again!) as things are still a bit manic here! Who would have thought that a tiny person like Erik could take up all of your time?! But all they need is feeding and changing, right?! Oh well... I'm sure we'll get there!

This month's sponsor is the lovely Steph from SixSkeins who has kindly offered a skein of one of her hand-dyed yarns for you to make a gorgeous something with. Shame that the rules don't allow me to take part in this giveaway 'cos I've already seen one that I'd love to get... ;)

These are the rules: to enter, visit our sponsor's link(s) (at the end of the post) and post a comment here, telling us which of their makes you like the most. Entries are accepted at our discretion and the winner will be chosen at random. The giveaway will close at midnight (GMT) on Thursday 28th February 2013.

But let's Steph tell you a bit more about herself and this month's prize!

Skein of yarn Hi! I have been passionate about knitting and crochet for (too!) many years, and love to share my crafting joy via my Etsy shop, Loophole http://www.sixskeins.etsy.com

I started out selling ready-made items and a few patterns. Everything I sell is my own design, so the pattern section is steadily growing!

A few years ago I started dyeing my own yarns too; we are lucky to live near beautiful Perranporth in Cornwall so they had to be Perran Yarns!

I love to do custom dye orders; the most challenging request was to dye some laceweight cashmere yarn to match a swatch of beautiful teal wedding dress fabric. Thankfully the yarn turned out the perfect shade, and the customer sent me a picture of the finished wedding shawl embellished with small pearl beads – stunning!

My giveaway prize is one skein of your choice of Perran Yarn from the stock available in my Etsy shop when the winner is chosen.

Don't forget to like my Facebook page and follow me on Twitter to hear about the latest special offers and new items in my shop!

I love Perran Yarns, am delighted to see this giveaway! Steph makes gorgeous things, it's hard to choose my favourite item. I think it's her necklaces, especially the baby pink rose one.
