Craft Giveaway Raffles - Coming Soon!

20/04/2010

Get involved in our Craft Giveaway Raffles!

In February, via Mattched IT's Blog, we ran our Lucky Tweet competition as an experiment. It was very successful, so we're going to start something a bit more craft-centric and a lot more regular.

We are hoping to run monthly raffles, starting mid-May, via this blog.

Donate a prize - Free Publicity

If you'd like to donate a prize, please leave a comment below (or email us). You must be prepared to give away the prize item for free (and to cover any postage costs - please bear in mind that although most of our audience are UK based, entry will be open to anyone, anywhere). We feel that an average value of £5 - £10 would work best, but will happily accept all offers!

In return, we'll feature you in the blog post for the raffle - with information about what you craft, how to contact you, a link to your website, etc - as well as pictures of the item(s) you are donating. We will also give you a month of free advertising in one of our banner advert slots (normal cost £25, you must provide your own banner although we can help you arrange to have one designed).

Join in the Raffle - Win the Prize?

Of course, what you're probably thinking is - Great! How do I enter? Simple. When each raffle launches, a post will be made here with instructions. Make sure you subscribe to email updates so you don't miss out!

Generally we are going to ask you to make a comment on a specific blog, before a given date in order to qualify - but we may vary this by offering extra entries via twitter. The idea of running a text-message based entry system (with profits being donated to charity) has also been suggested. Although we wouldn't want to do this regularly, we may look into it as an option for Children in Need.

Any questions, comments or suggestions?

So! What do you think? Are you as excited as we are?

Sounds good to me. I thought your last competition was great. The benefits of providing a prize are great too.
Can't wait to hear more.

I think these raffles would be fun and would be happy to donate an item from time to time.

Sounds like a fun competition. I'm glad I caught this so soon after posting. Is any kind of crafting alright?

Pierrine & Kella, thanks - we'll keep you in mind! Because we're going to run things monthly, we don't need a huge number of contributions, although we may do something special for Christmas, etc.

Nate - in theory, yes! Certainly a lot of "wood crafts" work for us e.g wood turning, carving, etc. Feel free to email if you'd like more info!
