The Christmas 2010 Handmade Crafts Giveaway!

So here it is... Merry Craftmas! I know we're early, but we wanted to get the festive give-away out with time to spare as regards Christmas posting deadlines. According to http://www.lastpostingdates.co.uk/, it should be OK.

We'll be back with a Christmas message for you all a little bit closer to the time, but until then, here's this months sponsor - Holly Hinton of Holly's Hobbies!

And to enter this month's give-away? Just visit Holly's site and then come back and tell us which of her kits or creations is your favourite and why. We'll be accepting entries until midnight on Sunday 12th December 2010 (as usual, all entries are moderated at our discretion).

Holly's Hobbies - Cross-Stitch Heaven!!

Holly Holly Hinton was taught to stitch when she was four years old but only became hooked when she discovered cross stitching as a teenager.

Holly Many finished pieces and years later after the arrival of her first child Holly was unable to find a bright baby sampler to stitch for him, so she designed her own and Holly's Hobbies was born!

Holly designs and sells personalised cross stitch Name Sampler kits and charts on her website and this forms the backbone of her business with loyal cross stitch customers worldwide. All Holly's Hobbies kits are personalised with any name and text specified and posted worldwide at no extra cost and for less than the cost of many standard cross stitch kits.

The best sellers are definitely the Fairy Name Sampler Kit for girls with it's cute fairies peeking around letters and Transport for boys with its bright and bold cars, trains and planes, but Holly is constantly adding new designs to the range.

In addition to kits and charts, Holly has recently started stitching some of her own Christmas designs and selling them in her Christmas Handmade shop on Zibbet and at local craft fairs and Christmas markets in Staffordshire. Holly's favourite "Merry Christmas" bunting has also proven to be extremely popular with customers. Holly is expanding her online handmade range in the New Year to include more cross stitch designs with year-round appeal.

This month's prize is a NOEL bauble wall hanging designed and stitched from Holly's Christmas range and features metallic gold thread to make it really sparkle. It is approximately 5½" wide by 31" long including the heart topped wire hanger and is backed in green and tan checked cotton fabric. This design is also currently available to buy in kit or chart form.

I love cross stitch. Actually, I used to create beautiful yet simple images made from it like the picture of flowers, trees, and scenic views. Anyway, this December, I want to give a cross stitch gift to my special friends and family. But then, because of my hectic schedule, it might be better to order in your the given local craft stores.

I love the Prince Name Sampler. This would be perfect for my son Samuel. We always call him Lord Samuel - especially when he's being bossy!
