April 2011 Crafts Giveaway - Heatherjean

Brighten up your Easter with a little vintage chic by Heatherjean!

Hello and welcome! I know we're a little bit late this month, but it's been very busy - which we never complain about! So here we are, with the April Giveaway. This month's giveaway will run until midnight on Tuesday 26th April, so make sure you get your entries in!

To enter, we'd like you to visit Heather's site and then come back here to post a comment telling us what you think of her lovely vintage makes - and which of her products is your favourite. Entries are accepted at our discretion and the winner will be chosen at random.

So without further ado, I'm going to hand you over to this month's sponsor - Heather from Heatherjean!

Lets hear from Heather herself!

Large bags by Heatherjean Heatherjean celebrates all things vintage. Sparked by a personal passion for vintage fabric, my handmade bags and homewares upcycle retro fabric into brand new unique gifts. This process combines my two hobbies; collecting vintage fabrics and making gifts.

This all began almost 3 years ago when I started sewing bags and purses and was hooked straight away. I bought myself a sewing machine and since then every Christmas and birthday I make gifts for my friends and family. So now they've all got the full set from me, but I still love to sew, I've decided to start selling them online. All items are handmade by myself incorporating my personal choice of fabric and style. Browse through my collection and pick out that perfect gift!

Powder Blue bag by Heatherjean The item I have chosen as a prize for the giveaway is a small, powder blue cosmetic bag. This cotton bag uses a pastel blue design, is fully washable and is the perfect size to fit in your handbag. Please check my online shop for further items and feel free to let me know if you have a special occasion coming up or have fabric of your own that you'd like to be crafted into something special.

I just visited HeatherJeans site and all I can say is WOW! Her fabrics are beautiful and her work is top notch! I will be back to visit her again. My favorite item in her Etsy shop was a brown and copper striped wash bag.

I love Heather's bags. Such beautiful fabrics. The site is nice and easy to use as well, linking beautifully to Etsy for the shop. My favourites, however, are the Pink Bouquet zipped cushion covers. I have a rocking chair that would go quite nicely with them.

I'm new to the whole blog thing, but I've bookmarked Heathers's! When I get frustrated trying to get my shop and things I've made seen, it is so good to hear stories about people who have left the cubicle behind to do what they love! It helps keep me going!

Fabulous fabrics, and I love the idea of being able to recycle your own. Great for someone like me who has a pile of 'I'll do something with that' bits and pieces, but not much skill and even less time!

I'm not too hot on the descriptive wording for handicrafts like these, however, I think it's all ace - such a cool look and style to them. Heatherjean killing the retro look (in the best way possible!!)

Never mind, at least I know where to find a good bag to give my wife on her birthday.
